What is the difference between Patek 5980 and 5990?

The key differences lie in their complications and dial layout. The 5980 features a chronograph with a mono-counter, while the 5990 offers a chronograph with a 60-minute counter, dual time zone function, and day/night indicators. The 5990 also has a slightly slimmer case despite its additional features. The 5990 was first introduced to the Nautilus range in 2014. It featured a stainless steel case, black gradient dial and and built upon the ever popular 5980R chronograph by adding a Travel Time complication.
