How does the patek 5990 compare to other pateks?
When comparing the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5990 to its Nautilus siblings, it’s impossible to ignore the functionality that sets it apart. The 5990 is the only Nautilus model with both a chronograph and dual-time function, making it highly practical, especially for those who travel frequently. The reference 5990/1A-001 is the original version of the Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph that first debuted in 2014 and was produced until 2022.

It brings the best in design and functionality by combining a Travel Time function that indicates the time in two different time zones with a 60-minute chronograph and a date indicator. The key differences lie in their complications and dial layout. The 5980 features a chronograph with a mono-counter, while the 5990 offers a chronograph with a 60-minute counter, dual time zone function, and day/night indicators. The 5990 also has a slightly slimmer case despite its additional features.
